The event is going to be held on May 14th-15th 2016 in Yıldız Technical University Computer Engineering Department within the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
During the event, we want you to create an Internet of Things product, produce a functioning prototype (programming), determine the basic characteristics of the product and how it is going to look (product development), and how you are going to market it (marketing). At the end of the event, you are expected to make a brief presentation of your work.
The event is open to anyone who is interested in IoT. You can either participate individually or with your team. If you have a team, indicate its name in the application form. We will be making teams from the individual applicants based on the information you given on the application form.
IoT devices will be provided by Parkyeri. The teams will “buy “the devices during the auction in the beginning of the event with the points equally distributed to each team. The devices will be given for use during the event and will be taken back at the end of the event.
The devices that will be auctioned:
3 x FPGA – Altera Cyclone ve Xilinx Spartan
15 x Embedded System – Arduino, Raspberry Pi, UDOO, etc.
11 x Embedded System Shields
82 x Module – CAN-BUS, Camera, IR, Display, Breadboard, Keypad, WiFi, BlueTooth, etc.
Sensors – Higrometer, CO2, Quake, Voltage, Current, Pressure, Smoke, Thermometer, PIR, Potentiometer, Fire, Accelerometer, Leds,etc.
4 x Wearable – Smart watches
If you plan to use other devices, you can bring them with you.
Bring your own computer to program and prepare your presentation.
There will be wireless internet access during the event.
We will have a mentor team of university professors and professionals to support you from time to time during the event.
The jury will be assess your projects on the basis of objective criteria and the winner will win the prize.
Students and professionals will be seperately assessed.
We will be announce the prizes during the event.
